Aarogya Setu, an app developed by National Informatics Centre and introduced by Government of India to track Covid spread through contact tracing using GPS and Bluetooth. The Government has claimed that the Aarogya Setu is safe and has made it mandatory in various parts of the country. Recently, the app has been under suspicion over data privacy and safety concerns. After French hacker Elliot Alderson pointed out a series of loopholes on Twitter, experts believe that the app could be used as a surveillance system and is breaching userтАЩs privacy.
