It would’ve been great if you made a visual timeline for the plagiarism case. Other than that, this is great! Thanks!

After eating melon for several days, I’ve come to the conclusion that we live in The Matrix. And the great computer in the sky is just f****** with you Yannick.

I just like the pronounce: You_again Shmidhoobuh at 13:02

Hello, thanks for sharing. I am a big fan of your channel 😀☺️, but never expect to write a comment in this situation 🥺.
I just need to clarify one important thing:
In the Reddit, authors of paper C explained how this drama happened, and authors of paper A and C released their emails to confirm that both of their works are independent and original.
AI Coffee Break with Letitia
Wow, a lot has happened. ML news coming again so soon! 😎

Benjamin Carper
The whole paper A/paper C thing feels like a Leibniz-Newton situation lol
Ashin Shanly
Lol😂

We don’t use AI, because it can have bias in it. Instead, we use predetermined keywords, produced by humans, who as we all know, are never biased in any way at all.
Siraj Raval
Moral of the story – don’t plagiarize kids. Your reputation will be obliterated like mine was. Great video Yannic!
Nerd Vs. Machine
Well Siraj, yours also had a sprinkle of fraud in it by running two “500 students only” groups hidden in parallel, retro-updating refund policies etc. Nonetheless, I believe in redemption and I rather see you here then you drifting completely off into the dark sides of this worlds society. All the best from Berlin
Siraj Raval
@Nerd Vs. Machine yeah that was a really dumb move on my part, still paying for it 2 years later. Also I love Berlin
Yannic Kilcher
Thanks 🙂 hey message me on twitter, would love to connect!
Skyrider1501
@Yannic Kilcher Ah yes, when being a celebrity is more important than not plagiarizing.
migkillerphantom
@Skyrider1501 anything for views baby
Wafaa Mohammed
very interesting!!
I just started following these news, helpful and puts everything in a nutshell.
Question: did Yannic talk about Wu Dao 2.0 language model in any of the previous videos?

7:25 Some examples of both good and bad things that can be done with this spring to mind immediately
15:00 Was thinking about doing something like this, but don’t have the time yet. I just hope I can find *some* topic to research when I get to that point. I still have *one* idea left.

Thanks for improving my Monday.

Schmidhuber really comes across as a “you are having fun wrong” kinda guy 🙂
HeXenkingTV
Just a simple question, are the residual connections used for a single prediction in resnets or only in training mode? My understanding is that the residuals are used during the training phase and for the testing phase the batches are forwarded through all layers of the network architecture.
Yannic Kilcher
the residual connections are part of both training and inference
Menzi 'The Son of Hope' Hlope
Maybe we can insert Dr. Schmidhuber’s blog post into OppenAI’s book summarizer.

I’m not surprised at anything with CLIP. I’ve found it easy to make detectors for all sorts of things, whatever I can think of, it can probably detect.
I’ve even made a “Gaydar” detector that works pretty well. 😂

Imagine getting an Email at work: “You are required to do extra diversity training since our communcation survaillance system registered an unusual amount of [keyword X] in the last four weeks.”

I look forward to a book length comment titled “Critique of Yannic Kilcher’s 2021 Youtube criticism against Schmidhuber” appearing here soon in the comment section by… you know who
Dan Frederiksen
I believe history is filled with parallel discoveries at near identical times. Almost as if there is a shared mind aspect to reality.
