Ring showed off one of the wildest smart home devices we’ve seen at Amazon’s fall showcase. We take a closer look at the flying drone-cam combo known as the Ring Always Home.

I see Amazon using the information they collect to suggest ads based on what they see in your house.
TheresNo Covid19
Suggest a nice house plant to go with the decor or maybe a painting on an empty wall.

I love that you are willing to include the cat bloopers in your review. I love it when companies don’t take themselves too seriously.

Step 1: Turn on the Wi-Fi jammer.
Step 2: Unplug the camera and steal it too (More money in your pockets and zero chances of it uploading something on the internet later, when the jamming is gone).
Boom… Flying surveilance camera (along with 90% of all the consumer-grade cameras) neutralized.
BlendRking
Yeah

@Just some Pirate Cat with Internet Access That is funny. How many people know R6? Love it.

The NSA will have a field day with this one.
IgorRyltsev
Put it in my Airbnb to welcome guests! They will definitely be happy to see a flying camera in their unit.

The government will soon be requiring these in every household.
MrPland1992
@Shamic Entertainment what’s funny is the US government invented these in the 50’s
Mouse Cat
its only a few more tiptoes away….remember when they said we would all need covid testing, covid passports and mandatory jabs…oh how we laughed at the conspiricy kooks
Irun S
What government? Do you live in an authoritarian state? If not, then it’s a virtual impossibility. Democratic governments don’t even require regular cameras in your home, why would you assume they would require these. It’s this kind of paranoid thinking that is unproductive to solve the actual problem: PRIVATE companies (not governments) knowing and selling all your private information for their profit.
Mix2
@Irun S I argee with ya. Why does everyone think that the U.S would go out and ruin their entire country all to assinate some random guys eating sticks for a living?
The Great Memory
I doubt it
uAlrdyKnoWaItIz
“I noticed while flying around, you are almost out of toilet paper, paper towels and dishwashing liquid”

“i noticed your wife looks pretty good naked. I made a video. Would you like me to upload it on her onlyfans? Oh, I also made your wife an onlyfans because I noticed your paycheck was a little short this week. What’s wrong? Don’t you want her to feel empowered?”
qbanz
I can see this being hacked to scope out peoples homes lol
Nylotic
@Lewyathan what does Intel’s Internet of Things have to do with cameras? Or are you talking about a different IoT?
JG
@Selena but they don’t see every corner / opportunity to enter/exit throughout the whole house
Intel
thieves are not tech oriented or smart.
qbanz
@Intel lmaooo keep thinking that buddy
Basic Player
@Marquez “ight imma head out”
Zack Snyder
Wow, imagine voluntarily allowing the government to surveil you.
JustDre
@K H I honestly believe you gotta b very computer savvy or bout hacker status to stay COMPLETELY off the tech radar. And even then your isp could probably even still tell but idk 💀 I quit networking school
K H
@JustDre yup I’m sure they already know what I’m thinking before I think it as well
like I said basically just anything with internet… that’s it
Blue Goose Commuter Line [BGCL]
@JustDre I was talking about an old movie the other day and I got recommended the trailer on YouTube for it shortly after. Never searched for it before or had any reason for the algorithm to recommend it to me except for it listening to my microphone. I was standing about 20 feet away from my phone outside mind you. There are already videos proving Google listens to you, for example with ads on generic websites.
Anthony Sicily
They already do 😂😂😂
Anthony Sicily
How exactly will they do this?
So, I activate it when I leave the house, and it gets automatically deactivated when I walk it the house?
So……
I ask again.
HOW? Exactly are they going to survey me when I am in the house? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Someone
And suddenly Amazon knows your whole house…
spaghetti
@Mian ikr privacy is like so out of trend. Being hip and having everything exposed to basically unregulated corporations is badass 😎.
Mian
@spaghetti Your comment is such a typical sheeple comment. Big pharma and big security cam industries are sending drones to spy on our tinfoil hats and inject us with 5G masts and you sheeple only care about “what’s in trend”. Smh. I bet you’re a shill paid by Bill Gates. So sad.
Anthony Nicholson
Oh…the Wilsons need new rugs…send advertisement….
J S
You do know that Google tracks your every movement correct? It will show you as an example when you left in your vehicle the gas station down to the address where you got gas how long you were there how long you drove to get to work after that how long you were at work the list goes on.
Mian
@J S Pretty sure I’ve Bill Gates sitting across the street with a telescope watching my every move. There is no escaping them.
Cam B
“They’re trying to keep privacy in mind” 😂
Mouse Cat
@Donut0389 so the one after that and the one after that….you are being softened up….but i think you like it because you want to be a slave with no voice…
Donut0389
@Mouse Cat If the government wanted to arrest you and throw you into a dark room for the rest of your life, forgotten by history with no evidence you ever existed, they could do that RIGHT NOW with little to no issue. Tracking you? Well you posted a message on Youtube. There are untold numbers of ways they could find you just with that. You use a smartphone? Doesn’t matter if you turn off location sharing and and turn your phone off to charge it while at home. They can correlate all past GPS pings within transmit distance of a cell tower and find you. You on Parler? Congrats. Every time you log in to post something, your location is given away. Doesn’t matter if you use a VPN. VPNs won’t fool anyone who REALLY wants to know where you are.
But please, go ahead and get all paranoid about a flying Walmart drone. The government can already hunt you down with utmost secrecy and precision if they really wanted to and someone on the Dark Web already knows everything about your financial history if you have so much as ordered a Big Mac via door dash.
You’re going full “OH NO THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!” without seeing all the shattered glass already at your feet.
Mouse Cat
@Donut0389 So in your world its Lets just add another Chilli to the Pot because lets face it we gonna burn anyway….Ok
Thắng Trịnh
@Mouse Cat Don’t even waste your time with that guy, I try to avoid people like that. It’s the same kind of person who would go on r/privacy to explain why you don’t need to have privacy.
lifulo
at least they tried ⭐
Theo Hallenius
Me: “Are you going to use the drone to spy on us customers?”
Amazon: “Don’t worry about it”
